Video Game Design Process and Game Creation

Objective: Students in this 6 weeks course will learn the basics of the video game design cycle, and create a basic video game. They will be able to justify their choice of graphics, art, story, sound, and the intended audiences of their game.

It was designed with the IBD framework to satisfy the Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills guidelines for the Video Game Design class.

INTRO TO AUDIO / VISUAL PRODUCTION
9 WEEK COURSE

Topic: The principles of Audio/Visual Production

Audience: High school students of all genders, races, and ages. There is no experience necessary, as this is a principles course to serve as the base knowledge for moving forward.

Purpose: To introduce the main concepts and practices of the audio/visual production career. This course assumes no knowledge is had prior to this class

Format:The class is designed to be an asynchronous online class, that can be modified into a synchronous or blended class depending on the situations that surround the class. It is supported and housed fully on the Canvas Learning Management System, with all artifacts and media files being accessible through it.
